Son of Blog

Wow, my son just started his own blog. I am so proud of him. He is 13 years old, and eager to learn everything that is thrown at him. He took the initiative to start his own blog and figured it out all by himself.

The blog is about Our Backyard, and specifically about the birds in our backyard.

Currently, the blog is an invitation only blog, so if you know my son, give him a jingle.

Mormon.org coming soon.

I am excited to announce that I was selected to be featured on the new Mormon.org website.  Less than a hundred people were selected in the United States to participate in a personal media portrait of the reason why they are Mormon.  A professional film crew of four people, including  the director Jared Hess from "Napoleon Dynamite" and Adam Abel, producer of "Saints and Soldiers",  arrived at my home last week.  They spent a full day shooting what will be a few minute vignette of who I am, and why I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I had a wonderful time, as did my family.  I cannot wait to see the film shoot, and I will post it here as well on my Facebook page.  I am currently working on my Mormon.org profile, which I will also share, when the website is posted.  It is my understanding, that many people, if not all members of the Church, will be allowed to have a profile on Mormon.org to share their stories and insights about the gospel.  (more to come on that)
